Last Sunday our church family had a celebration service at a park near downtown. It looked like it was going to rain, which worried us a little, but we ended up having a nice weather. There was a great turnout of our Christian family and a wonderful time of fellowship. Paul gave us a lesson on not making excuses as Christians and picking up our crosses. Matt encouraged us, during this time of transition, with a word on dreaming big. It was a great blessing for all of us. After worship, we had a bar-b-que (Brazilian style chicken and ribs)! Everyone hung around and visited for a couple of hours. Our church family is experiencing more and more unity through family interaction like we had at the park. We plan on making "celebration Sunday" part of our regular routine at least once a month.
Raquel's Baptism:
After our worship and fellowship we really began the celebration with the baptism of a young lady who has been coming to our church with her mother for a couple of years. Raquel gave her life to Jesus in the pool of one of our members. It was a blessing to us all.
